workbot

A personal desktop tool for publishing my own short videos.

workbot is a small program that runs on my own computer. It renders short vertical videos, adds subtitles and music, and uploads the finished file to my own social media accounts, including my own TikTok account.

It is not a public service. There is no sign-up, no user accounts and no access for anyone but me. It handles only my own content and my own accounts.

How the TikTok integration works

  1. I authorise the app once with TikTok Login, using my own account.
  2. The access and refresh tokens are stored locally on my computer.
  3. When a video is finished, the app uploads it to my TikTok account through the Content Posting API using the video.upload scope.
  4. The video arrives as a draft. I review it in the TikTok app and publish it myself.

Data

No data about any other person is requested, received or stored. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Access can be revoked at any time in TikTok account settings, which immediately stops all uploads.
